Bare Wax Company wasn't born from some perfectly mapped-out business plan. But somewhere between changing careers, moving across the country, becoming a mom, and finding something I genuinely loved doing, Bare Wax Company began to take shape. What started as a leap of faith has become a brand we're building with a whole lot of intention.
Bare Was Built to Feel Different.
Built from an unexpected beginning and shaped by everything we’ve learned along the way.
I thought I’d be a nurse. CNA classes in high school, four years working as one, then nursing school. Then I became a mom, COVID changed just about everything, and I realized nursing wasn’t where I was meant to stay.
I finished esthetics school right before my son was born, with absolutely no idea what I’d do with it.
Then we did something a little crazy…
We sold most of what we owned, packed whatever would fit in the car, and moved from Illinois to Florida with our baby. And I mean whatever would fit, James literally rode the whole way with a vacuum cleaner between his legs.
Not long after, a wax specialist at European Wax Center asked if I’d ever thought about waxing. I hadn’t. I applied anyway, finished their seven-day training in three days, and something just clicked.
I fell in love with the technique first, then everything behind the scenes- the numbers, the systems, the client experience, and even the things I knew I’d do differently someday.
What I wanted was something more personal. After years in restaurants, I knew you could be efficient without making people feel rushed. I wanted that same feeling of being genuinely taken care of in the treatment room.
So I opened my own suite.
Bare Wax started small. Then came a move to Lakewood Ranch, a second pregnancy, and a business that suddenly had to run without me-which is what brought Sienna in and made this bigger than just me. Nails came next, then a bigger team.
We’re still building, and that’s my favorite part.
Sometimes the best things come from plans you never meant to change.
We believe doing great work means paying attention to the details, to what works for you, and to the things that make each visit yours.
We take pride in our technique, but some of our favorite parts of what we do have nothing to do with the service itself.

Some of these things are small, but together they’re what make BWC feel like BWC.

We each bring something different to BWC, but share the same standard of care, so no matter whose chair you're in, you're in good hands.
